I am thrilled to announce that I will be participating in the inaugural In Practice Symposium, hosted by New Works on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre in Vancouver.

This one-day gathering is a unique space for dance artists, educators, and leaders to come together and explore a vital question: How can leadership be more responsive to the dance world we are shaping together?

During the event, I’ll be stepping into a deep-dive conversation with the brilliant Naomi Brand. Naomi’s work as an artist, educator, and Artistic Director of All Bodies Dance Project has long been a beacon for inclusive, community-centered practice.

Together, we’ll be exploring the intersections of artistic integrity and leadership, discussing how we can foster environments where every body in the studio feels safe, valued, and empowered. Whether you are a choreographer, a teacher in the middle of a career transition, or a movement leader, these are the critical conversations that help us move from isolation to a shared, sustainable practice.

I am deeply honoured to announce that I am taking on the role of Artistic Director at Theatre Terrific—Canada’s oldest inclusive theatre company.

Since 1985, Theatre Terrific has pioneered mixed-ability theatre, rewriting the rules of who gets to be on stage and how stories are told. Having previously collaborated with this incredible community—both teaching devised theatre and directing Outside for the 2022 Vancouver Fringe Festival—stepping into this leadership role feels like a profound responsibility and a beautiful homecoming.

I come to this position with an unwavering dedication to making art truly accessible. I cannot wait to build on this groundbreaking legacy, amplify diverse voices, and co-create the future of inclusive theatre alongside our brilliant artists and audiences.

I am a quarter of the TRAction collective, and we just launched our new website. TRAction is a dynamic collective of artists who actively engage communities in artistic practice and creation to address issues of climate justice. TRAction is led by a team of interdisciplinary artists, Sandra Lamouche, Chantal Stormstrong Chagnon, Melanie Kloetzel, and Kevin Jesuino, who facilitate and organize a range of experiences. From offering Indigenous learning workshops to live performances to online networking to citizen-led art activism, TRAction sees art-making as foundational for a future where all species have the right to a safe and healthy environment.
