Convocatoria Abierta para Participantes: Ciudad de México (December 5 - 9, 2025) 

​

Soy un artista contemporáneo buscando a DOS HOMBRES para participar en un proyecto de fotografía y video arte que consiste en un performance de baile lento y en silencio.

Detalles del Proyecto

​

  • Acción: Dos hombres harán un baile lento juntos, en silencio, mientras yo, el artista, los fotografío y grabo en video.

  • Enfoque: El foco principal de las imágenes estará en el torso y el lenguaje corporal. Las fotos y el video se tomarán a distancia y no incluirán rostros ni identificadores visibles para asegurar el anonimato.

  • Compensación: 400 pesos mexicanos (MXN) por participante.

  • Actividad Previa: Me gustaría invitarles un trago o algo de comer (yo pago) antes de la sesión. En este espacio, platicaríamos sobre temas como el cruising, la intimidad masculina y la historia queer en la CDMX.

Sobre la Exhibición

Las fotos y el video resultantes formarán parte de una exhibición de archivo itinerante que muestra este proyecto en varias ciudades importantes. Estoy fotografiando/grabando a hombres en distintas ciudades principales realizando este acto de bailar lento en silencio. Actualmente, se planea mostrar la exhibición en Canadá y Brasil.   • Este proyecto está abierto a hombres, incluyendo hombres trans.

  • Un interés genuino en los temas del proyecto (cruising, intimidad masculina, historia queer local) es bienvenido.

Open Call for Participants: Mexico City (December 5 - 9, 2025) 

​

I am a contemporary artist seeking TWO MEN  to participate in a photography and video art project involving a silent, slow dance performance.

​

Project Details

  • Action: Two men will perform a slow dance together, in silence, while being photographed and video recorded by the artist.

  • Focus: The focus of the visuals will be primarily on the torso and body language. Images and video will be taken from a distance and will not include faces or any visible identifiers to ensure anonymity.

  • Compensation: $400 Mexican Pesos (MXN) per participant.

  • Pre-Performance: I would like to share a drink or meal (paid for by me) beforehand. During this time, we will engage in a discussion focused on themes of cruising, male intimacy, and queer history in Mexico City.

 

About the Exhibition

The resulting photographs and video will be featured in an ongoing archive exhibition showcasing this project in various major cities. I am photographing/video recording men in different major cities doing this act of silent slow dancing togther. Currently, there are plans to feature this exhibition in Canada and Brazil. Who Should Apply

  • This project is open to men, including trans men.

  • A sincere interest in the themes of the project (cruising, male intimacy, local queer history) is welcome.

Please note that I am fluent in English and Portuguese. I understand some Spanish, but my speaking skills are very limited.
