I am thrilled to announce that I will be participating in the inaugural In Practice Symposium, hosted by New Works on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre in Vancouver.
This one-day gathering is a unique space for dance artists, educators, and leaders to come together and explore a vital question: How can leadership be more responsive to the dance world we are shaping together?
During the event, I’ll be stepping into a deep-dive conversation with the brilliant Naomi Brand. Naomi’s work as an artist, educator, and Artistic Director of All Bodies Dance Project has long been a beacon for inclusive, community-centered practice.
Together, we’ll be exploring the intersections of artistic integrity and leadership, discussing how we can foster environments where every body in the studio feels safe, valued, and empowered. Whether you are a choreographer, a teacher in the middle of a career transition, or a movement leader, these are the critical conversations that help us move from isolation to a shared, sustainable practice.
